Conditions We Treat
Shoulder Girdle Problems
Encompassing 4 joints, shoulder complaints require careful orthopaedic assessment to determine the injured joint and associated soft tissue muscles, ligaments and tendons. Referred pain from the cervical and thoracic spine and ribs may also be present.
Common causes of shoulder pain include tendonitis, rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement syndrome, frozen shoulder, instability and bursitis.
Suitable treatment includes joint mobilisation and/or manipulation, soft tissue therapy, dry needling, strapping, tailored exercise and strengthening protocols.
